(1) There will be one Olympic Committee, one Para Olympic Committee and one Special Olympic Committee registered in the council recognized by the International Olympic Committee to carry out sports-related activities in accordance with the International Olympic Committee's charter, objectives and prevailing laws.
(2) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (1), an Olympic committee of a different nature may be formed except the Olympic Committee mentioned in sub-section (1).
(3) The Olympic Committees as per subsection (1) and (2) must be registered with the Council.
(4) National sports associations or federations registered in the Council and recognized by the International Olympic Committee or affiliated to the Federation of International Sports Federations or Olympic Committees shall be member sports associations of Nepal Olympic Committee.
(5) In order to be registered with the council according to sub-section (3), an application must be submitted to the council in the prescribed format along with documents recognized by the International Olympic Committee, statutes and prescribed procedures.
(6) The Olympic Committees registered in the Council shall be subject to the Charter of the International Olympic Committee as follows:-
(a) Periodical election of committee officers according to the statute,
(b) To hold the annual general meeting and submit the audit report passed by the general meeting to the council,
(c) To send members or athletes to participate in sports competitions at the international level under the coordination of the Council,
(d) Before receiving support from international organizations other than the International Olympic Committee, the approval of the Government of Nepal, the Ministry of Finance through the Ministry,
(e) To be able to conduct various activities related to sports in Nepal in coordination with the Council.
(7) Other arrangements related to the Olympic Committee shall be as prescribed.
